Pinus cembra – Swiss pine, also known as Arolla pine or stone pine – is an evergreen conifer native to the Alps. Swiss pines can grow up to 25 meters tall and live for 1000 years. Its wood has a strong fragrance and is used for furniture and carvings. Swiss pine is used in naturopathy for colds, muscle pain, and to improve indoor air quality.
